First, I load up some data: After that, I’m doing some work to make my Grid View look beautifull, adding all columns by hand.
In my custom grid View control I cannot raise the Row Updated event.
I have tried to add an event handler to the Row Updated event of my custom control but it is not called.
By default when the Grid View controls goes in edit mode, it displays Text Boxes for entering values.
You can not attach validation controls directly to these Text Boxes.
Enter the database details as per your setup and click on OK.

Row Updating event, doesn’t work as all samples say it should do.
All samples of course assume you’re doing everything in your page, but I have to do everything in my code-behind, because on forehand I don’t know what I’ll be binding to my Grid View.
By Default, Grid View control displays Item Template which directly shows the Product Name and Unit Price columns but when user clicks Edit button Grid View automatically switches to Edit Item Template and display the control available inside Edit Item Template for user editing.
